The following is an article which was published in The Leader on Wednesday, November 14th. After looking over the article it is apparent that the pipe dream of purchasing the North Hills Country Club Property is just that, a pipe dream.

There is no money available for a sizable down payment much less an outright purchase. The only way that this can be done is with a sales tax increase or a bond issue. Bonds are doubtful because a city has to demonstrate its financial solvency in order to repay the debt. If the city turned down an increase in funding for our Fire Department, where in the heck does the city council "think" we are going to get the money to buy this financial albatross?

Glad to see the peanut gallery is
back in business. Seems that you
just can't understand that a muni-
cipal golf course can be a self-
sustaining service. You link to
a Leader article as your proof
source that the city can't afford
such an expense. I would be careful about relying on those
geniuses for my info. In the same
article they state that the newest
patrol cars are 2002 Impalas. On
your police fleet list on a previous post, I count 26 vehicles
that are newer models. What do you
suppose the P.D. is doing with those vehicles?? Then you prove
your lack of knowledge by implying
that the City is insolvent. Where
do you get your figures, and what
color is the sky in your world?
Go ahead and have your rants on
your little blog. No one is paying
any attention to you anyway. If
you would shut up and listen once
in a while you might learn something.
